NightSong Recording
Studios was formed in 1991, by Jesse Jones and Angela Jones. But the true
beginning started years before.

Jesse was
raised in a very musical family environment, playing and singing with his
father, Lewis and his brother, Michael, since childhood. Later, in his
teens, he joined several bands including Pearl , out of East Peoria, Il. ,
where he played & toured for three years, opening for such acts as
Blackfoot and others. During this time is when Jesse found his love for
recording. Starting with an old Sony TC-366 2 track Reel to Reel with
"Sound on Sound" style recording, Jesse along with his musical friends,
truly experimented with the art of recording. Making crude music
recordings or creating sound effect reels, everything was fair game.
Later, after burning up several inexpensive 4 track machines, Jesse bought
his first 8 track Reel to Reel. Now in his mid twenties, Jesse's demos
were getting attention from other local artists, asking where he had
recorded them. After explaining he had done them himself at his apartment,
Jesse wound up with a small list of client's fast. The number of people
grew to the point were he knew he needed a different location to set up a
studio. So in 1991, Jesse opened NightSong Recording Studios in the
basement of his house, with a worn out 8 Track Reel to Reel and a few odds
and ends. Instantly, the word had spread and NightSong Studios was
busy...very busy.
Sixteen
years later, NightSong Recording Studios has become one of the most
reputable recording studios in Knoxville, TN. Now with a full list of
state of the art equipment and a redesigned studio, Jesse has had the
pleasure of working with some of the biggest names and companies in the
music business, and looks forward to many more in the years to come.
